Bottom line, if you really can't afford the space of a third box (subwoofer) somewhere on the floor, the T10's will provide decent, clean high-fi sound minus bass with minimal physical intrusion. That said, the mids and highs are pretty good, and you CAN increase bass if you're willing to put one of these on the floor (thus sacrificing one channel of mid/highs--at ear level that is). If you're fussy about sound, though, (and I am NOT a fan of exaggerated bass--I prefer accurate reproduction), you'll prefer a system with a subwoofer. I think these speakers are passable, in that they take up little space, and are sleekly, blackly elegant if that's to your taste. However, compared to name brand 2.1 systems of 1/2 the t10's cost, they have very little bass, and none of it deep.
Recomended. I'm not an expert, but I think the sound is clean and clear, loud enough, and the speakers are nice too. I loved it. Considering the price and the benefits, there's nothing to complain.
Even with the shipping it came out to less than sellers on Amazon.I believe the audio quality using a Creative Labs SB Live Value card can'tbe beat, and would be even nicer using a better sound card than the one inmy Dell Dimension 4300 w/XP SP3.Excellent sounding speakers for the price. They sound very clean tome, and I am a stereophile. These are excellent, well-made speakers that sound very good. The shielding DOES make a realdifference protecting from EMI/RFI interference. Recommend highly to anyone looking for greatsound at a reasonable price, with a small to medium size footprint. At Dell youcan get them in different colors, too for about the same price. I bought3 pairs from them, most recently because they were on sale at a reducedprice.
simple 2 speakers w-out sub. I advocate avoiding this and going w. Totally contrived sound, distorted to the max. Subwoofer, built in each speaker, is like empty can over shallow middle, and no high pitch at all.
These go the trick. If you throw parties you'll want something louder, but I normally do not turn these up more than half way for daily usage.Overall, these speakers look great, sound good, and do a great all around job. I got these to use with my MacBook Pro in college. The bass is surprising good for speakers of this size but they do not compare to a dedicated bass. If you need computer speakers for normal stuff these are the speakers to get.(Also, I only paid $45 from Amazon, I don't know why they keep changing prices, but you may want to wait until the price goes down again). For normal usage, like movies, music, games, and computer stuff they do just fine. I am not an audiophile, but I do like my music to sound good.
